How to Find Results

If you're looking for results from races in the INKY cup, the PDF documents of results are posted on the wall in this clique.  Long Run results were posted 2 days after the race but have already moved off the main page -- they're still here & can be found by clicking on "Documents" on the left hand side of the page.

curb monitor, flagging, or cones

To the promotion cycling guys.  it may be a good idea to have someone standing on the curbs with a large flag waving back and forth down at the bottom section for atleast the largest couple of races (and the newest racers).  Last year folks where swinging out wide down at the bottom section of the race and didn't know how far to come back in to avoid the curb.  You couldn't see anything if you where in the pack with 100 other racers.  One guy broke his frame by smacking that curb, several hit it, and some others went to the left side of it and did the bonsai move where they just cut back across the breaks in the median and hoped they fit back in with the group.

A few notes: the Indy RR (Fisher's) will not get it's permit this year without significant changes to the event and venue.  It is currently NOT on the schedule.  The LA is taking bids for State Championships in IN and KY for Crit, RR and TT.  Each will go through a review process and get a three year commitment from the LA.  Each State Championship will then be reviewed yearly and must meet a list of criteria to continue the following year.

It sounds like the McDonald's Series will operate within this schedule.  More details on that later as that progresses.  It will either be a Spring Series or potentially a Kentucky Cup Series depending on sponsorship commitment.

2010 Kentucky Indiana Raing Season Shaping Up
The district call for the 2010 road schedule was this morning (three hours - yikes!).  While the schedule is not complete enough to publish (yet) I can tell you that the season looks great.  Racing starts in mid March and ends in September.

Stay tuned for more!

Results submitted to USA Cycling
I had a great time racing in the series this year.

Does anyone know if the results from the Shelby County RR and the Capital City Criterium will be submitted to USA cycling? I understand that this is the responsibility of the promoter, I am curious as to wheter anyone knows if this will occur.

Thanks.

newbie questions
so after reading this very entertaining blogger http://thebestbikeblogever.blogspot.com/2009/05/how-to-drop-attackus-nonstickus-with.html

a few questions have spun in the head.

If you are in a single file paceline and you are rolling up on the folks in front of you (wind hits them or you roll faster than them being heavier, which ever).  what is the correct thing to do....scrub some speed with your brakes and cause the yoyo effect or roll to the left or right of their wheel (half wheel i believe is the term)?  in the cat 4/5 races we don't always have a choice but to shoot between the wheels in front of you or lock em up with the way the pace usually goes but just in case a single file pace line ever happens or just for normal group rides.

i'm sure more questions will come soon.  thanks!!!

Brown County Race
I just want to thank everyone for the wonderful hospitality that we (East TN Jr Cycling) received while attending the Brown County Race. It was a great race and will plan for it on our yearly race schedule. The junior racers made new friends and the support from the adult racers shouting words of encouragement during the race made all the juniors enjoy the event.

Thanks again for a great race event and accepting our team.
